Container Loading Regulations & Important Information
When loading a container for international shipping, it is essential to understand the regulations and possible additional costs.
Shipping rates generally include standard transportation fees; however, customs authorities have the right to inspect any container, even if all documents and cargo are complete and correct.
There is no possibility to refuse or prevent such inspections. Customs may open containers to verify the declared contents and ensure that no modifications have been made.
If customs decide to inspect a container, the shipper is responsible for additional charges, including:
✅ Customs inspection and clearance fees
✅ Container opening and handling fees
✅ Terminal transport fees (in and out)
✅ Any other fees imposed by customs authorities
To avoid unexpected costs, it is strongly recommended to ensure that all documents and cargo comply with customs regulations.
For any further questions or assistance, please contact the relevant shipping or logistics provider.
